Trinity Wellness Global is a mental-health practice based in Thika, Kenya, providing specialist psychiatric and psychological care to individuals and families across different stages of life. We were built to offer clinically responsible care in an environment where people are treated with dignity, clarity and respect.
Who we are
Our work begins with assessment and treatment, but it does not end there. Mental health is shaped in families, schools, workplaces and communities. Alongside clinical care, Trinity is developing community mental health, training, mentorship and public education so that people can recognize need earlier and reach appropriate help more easily.
What we believe
A diagnosis can guide treatment, but people are more than diagnoses. We look at how mental health is affecting everyday functioning, relationships, learning or work, physical wellbeing and the person’s own goals.
Our aim
Not only symptom reduction, but recovery, dignity, participation and a better quality of life.
Our founder
Dr. Kendi L.M. is a Consultant Psychiatrist, educator and founder of Trinity Wellness Global. Her work sits at the intersection of clinical psychiatry, community mental health, medical education and public understanding of mental health.
Founder perspective
“I want Trinity to be a place where people receive excellent care, but also a place that helps society understand mental health differently - earlier, more accurately and with less judgement.”
Our clinical approach
Depending on the need, care may involve psychiatric assessment, medication, psychotherapy, family support, psychoeducation, physical-health considerations or referral to other professionals.
Our foundations
01.
What we are here to do.
To provide accessible, high-quality mental-health care while strengthening the understanding, skills and pathways that help individuals, families and communities respond to mental-health needs earlier and more effectively.
02.
The future we want to help build.
A society in which mental health is understood without shame, quality care is easier to reach, and people experiencing mental-health difficulties are supported to recover, participate and live with dignity.
03.
What guides us.
Clinical excellence, dignity, compassion, clarity, continuity and community.
Where we are going
Alongside specialist clinical services, Trinity is developing work in community mental health, professional training, mentorship, public mental-health conversations and clearer pathways that help people move from recognizing a need to receiving appropriate care.
Long-term direction
To contribute not only to the treatment of mental illness, but also to healthier mental-health cultures and stronger systems of care.
